Nanook Expedition’s philosophy is to work with its partners to develop and offer the programs and timing that work best for them, and that conform with the Paddle Canada certification requirements.
These strategic partnerships are an important element of our business model. Some of those partnerships are listed below.
Ottawa New Edinburgh Club
The Ottawa New Edinburgh Club (ONEC) has a rich history in the Ottawa area that dates back to 1883 when it started as the Ottawa Canoe Club. We are working with ONEC to develop their paddling program so they will continue to ensure the safety and effectiveness of their staff and membership consistent with industry and Paddle Canada standards. The paddling program is offered at their location to make them more accessible to their membership.
Our Nanook Expeditions skilled instructors work with the staff and membership to develop clinics and courses that teach key paddling strokes, self- & assisted- rescues, safety standards and regulations, as well as other elements to improve paddler safety and effectiveness.
